I recently built a pc using an Asus "A8N-VM CSM" Mobo. It has a Athlon 64X2 chip with 2.25 gig of memory. It is running Win 7 Ult 64. I installed a new cmos battery at the build. The unit seems to operate fine. But, I do have 1 problem I need help with. The Date & Time as set in the cmos will not hold overnight. That is to say, if the pc is unplugged and left over night the cmos reverts to the same previous date & time. (forget the time, but the date is in 2002). Can anyone tell me if there is a fix for this? I desperately am trying to fix this issue.

Are you certain the new battery is good? And, do you get any message like "Checksum error, Defaults loaded."? If so, I would re-replace the CMOS battery, as it sounds like it is dead. _________________ Russell Colbert

| The problem there is the CMOS battery. I know in Apple Macintosh machines there is that same problem and this is easy and cheap to fix most of the time. |
